AWA Announcement

Hey all. Just needed to drop a note to everyone about a policy change at the upcoming AWA.

Unlike previous years, we're gonna be doing a lot of badge checking at events and at the door of continuous rooms like the VAT. This wasn't a big issue in previous years, but apparently we're worried that there's been some repeat freeloaders, and the fire marshall is getting touchy.

So, just be aware that we're gonna be checking badges more intensely this year. I figure that it's better to notify everyone ahead of time instead of sending y'all back to your rooms repeatedly when the bage gets left behind.

The only time I needed my badge last year was when I went to the dealer's room.

That's a good policy. It's not that tough to make sure you've got your badge on you, and if it cuts down on freeloading then I'm all for it.

Doesn't bother me, I never leave the room anyway. I just sit there an hold it for 3 1/2 days while dehidrating.

I keep my badge on all the time anyways so it's all good with me.

It's better that people look at my name tag as opposed to me telling them my name and them not understanding my incoherent voice.
