A tip about banners

pwolf, i voted for your banner. pwaffles all the way!

angieness, those are good guidelines, but many people don't have photoshop, just mspaint (and you can tell which banners went through mspaint)

but in addition from quality and readability, spelling errors are real killers. there've seen a few banners i would have voted for if not for the spelling mistakes (actually i think a few banners with spelling mistakes got through anyways).

That's a great little technical guide that applies to almost any banner idea, good job. (Although a lot of poor quality banners are not so much blurry as they are downright pixilated

Some things I would add:

1- don't clutter the frame, negitive space is your friend.

2- don't have sharp lines seperating the logo. If you have a dark banner do not put a white box on the end for the logo, work it into the image.
