This is my second parody video, and the first that I've ever shown to the public. I'm sorry about the wordy intro, but I guessed that it'll be easier to know the above in advance when watching the video. I will deeply appreciate feedback about this video, particularly what I could have done differently, what I did wrong, and how I can do it better in the future.
Thank You.

well, first of all, the video is excellent, and you did an awesome job of matching up characters in the trailer with Daioh characters and staying fairly consistant.
If you want a bit of criticism:
This is probably partially due to it being the low quality trailer, but it looks like the syncing (esp the lip syncing) could be just slightly better. In some scenes characters are speaking and only part of them is on screen, and when they turn around and you can see their face they're not speaking, although you'll have the lip sync correct in for the next line.

Yes, lip syncing was one of the harder aspects of making the parody. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to be as precise as I wanted to before the Otakon deadline. I would regard the awkward lip syncing at parts, the bad Photoshop animations, and the ending of the whole trailer as the most difficult stages of the project. Those parts I will immediately agree needed more work.

Sorry, but I didn't think it was good. I really like trailer videos and how they can match an anime to a movie to make them seem similar, but here it looked like it was just trying to match the sound effects and dialogue without trying to match the feel of the Lord of the Rings movies. It didn't leave me with the feeling that this really looked like a trailer for the actual movie it was portraying like other great trailer videos do. These were obviously two completely different sources, and I don't think they went well together. Maybe that was the whole point in trying to make a comedy video, but I don't find it funny to just watch a strange voice attatched to a wierd looking character.
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Substance "Everyone knows that it's a dangerous substance."

Was trying to respond last night, but didn't have the time.
Anyway though, I loved it. I was laughing so hard (that I... hmm). I loved the casting of Gimli. Gandalf was awesome too.
I agree with Quiet Cannon that this doesn't really feel like a trailer though, but the comedy still worked quite well for me. <--- Good grief, that's a dopey emoticon.
My dad commented that he thought it might be better if he'd actually seen the show, but since I've read the manga, I was fine.

Isn't it funny how I'm always posting my parents' comments? I think it is anyway.

On hindsight, I really have to agree with Quiet Cannon.
After rewatching the video with that perspective, I discovered that I was so caught up with matching up the characters that I didn't maintain the "trailer-feel" of the video.
Perhaps I should do a "Remastered" version of this video... just a thought. Thanks for the input^^
