Yeah...I run three different browsers, just because I hate IE, it's too slow and totally wide open to attack, but certain websites only work on it...
I use Firefox for view Suicidegirls, because it doesn't show the page until it is finished loading, and I have a tendency to click too early sometimes.
I use opera for everything else because I like the download window and I like its other features as well, plus, if I type the wrong URL it shows "not found" rather than searching...which takes too long, and I've already figured out the problem anyway...
I used to use netscape as well, for e-mail...but it got too slow and firefox is so much better.
Also...try getting XP service pack 2...whenever you fix your computer (I had trouble getting mine for some strange reason...)

Thanks TaranT for the info, even I don't go to that site in particular but I'm not waiting to get another virus in my computer again.
Fairly tired of it by now.
As for the web browsers I've always had Explorer and it works just fine with me (56k, DSL and T1).
Heard of these other browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, and Opera) but never done anything to acquire them.

Hey, the snail mail address to imdb is:
IMDb, Inc.
P.O. Box 81226
Seattle, WA 98108-1226
However, I don't have the motivation to find the e-mail, but if you tell me what you want me to say I can e-mail them.
Oh, and I'm not making fun of you by asking this. I think that if one user has a problem, it is a potential problem for many. I went to the site without fear for two reasons:
1. I have virus protection. If it is a simple virus that downloads based on javascript or some similar nonsence, I'll catch it.
2. If it is something more sinister, such as one of those newfangled injector programs, I am behind a hardware firewall (a router, actually), so I more than likely wouldn't get it.
Also, if I did get it it would be fun. You see, I have a friend who unleashes viruses on his own system to see what they do, then programs an anti-virus for them. It'd be okay for me to get it because I run a dual-boot to Linux anyway, so I wouldn't really lose my computer, per se, just Windows. About this friend, thought, he's actually made some successfull submissions to Symantec, so I figure that's good for something.

I would have posted this earlier, but I thought the thread was dead.
Anyway, that site was fixed by the next day, whatever the problem was, and I'm not blaming Amazon for it. Any site can get hacked, and in this case, their advertising is probably contracted out to a third party.
So, I'm still recommending imdb.com. It claims to be the largest movie and TV-show database on the planet and there's no reason not to believe that.
I did learn one thing after using SpyBot's immunization function. It's interesting to see how much crap is trying to load itself on your PC (SpyBot intercepts them and will let you know if you configure it that way). Not as much as I might have expected, but then, I don't go to many risky sites.
If anyone wants to have a look at them, these are the security programs that I'm running (in addition to a Linksys firewall):
* AntiVir (I'm too cheap to pay the Norton subscription)
* SpyBot S&D
* Ad-Aware SE
All of these are freeware or donationware and come highly recommended by reviewers, including those at Pricelessware.org.
