Evanescence or Lacuna Coil? What's your preference?
I certainly wouldn't consider myself a fan of the goth genre, nor do I live the goth lifestyle, but I appreciate it for what it is, same way with punk. Anyway, I have enjoyed the music of Evanescence, what little I've heard, and would recommend their music to anyone. But while a lot of people have heralded their success, I've discovered a similar band that might be a little better, Lacuna Coil. The reason many people haven't heard of this band is because they originate from Italy, and one of their albums just hit stateside (it's actually been out for 2 years). The only way I found out about them was through an out of town radio station. The song that gets air play is "Swamped", totally rocks. I haven't really committed to either band yet, since I don't buy a lot of albums anyway, but if anyone has listened to both bands, I'd like to know what your preference is.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

Although I only own Lacuna Coil's Comalies, I think I'd say I like them better. While Comalies, in my opinion, isn't as good as Evanescence's stuff, I like the other albums more.
However, Within Temptation beats both of them.

I think Flowing Tears should be somewhere in there as well... I like their stuff pretty good. Not much of a Lacuna Coil or Evanescence fan...
