Which One!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! (fav anime and why)

Which is your favorite anime and why would you choose it over the others?
Out of the following: Dragon Ball Z (DB, or GT), Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Wolfs Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, or Inu Yasha.

My no.1 would be Trigun, a good blend of humor and drama, some good morality play in this one too. The art work is great and the dub fits well.

others - Witch hunter Robbin, Somewhat slow but a great dark drama with lots of mystery and intrigue.
Wolfs Rain, a good plot with great artwork, I haven't seen the end yet so I can't say if it end right or not.
Inuyasha, interesting plot, it's a long series but each episode works well, keeps you coming back to see what happens.
The rest are alright, just don't do as much for me, like in dbz how much time can they waste standing and shouting and straining like they're constipated.

Hmmm....out of the above...i'd have to say my favorites as Dragonball Z, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Inuyasha. Oh yeah, can't forget Gundam Wing. Wolf's Rain confuses the hell out of me, even though i've watched all the eps, and Witch Hunter Robin made no sense. Robin's a fifteen year old girl who looks like she's in her twenties. That confused me.

I like DBZ because, ironically or not, my brother got me into it. One of my shows was on after it and the only way i'd get TV control was to let my brother watch his show. I watched one ep, and I got hooked...mainly cause I liked Vegeta's attitude.

Gundam Wing is my absolute favorite and I only got hooked on it (at first) because I was flipping through channels and I got a glimpse of half-naked Wufei. Now...I own the show on DVD, the movie on DVD, and two mangas, and i'm in the process of getting the other mangas.

Rurouni Kenshin...I got into that by reading a fanfic by one of my favorite fanfic authors, Arigatomina. When I heard it was going to be on CN, I watched it and am I the *only* one who thinks the beginning song 'Freckles' belongs on the dubbed Sailor Moon?!

Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha I got hooked on in the same way. Word of mouth. A friend of mine online got hooked into it and told me I should watch it, so I did. I wanna see the japanese version though. Those are apparently better than the dubbed...course...everything's better in it's original language.

Heh...fun. Anyway, those are mine.

What's yours and why?

From the list above, only Trigun is in my personal top #10. It has a good balance of action/comedy and fun characters (I didn't mind the absence of pin-up girls since other series compensate many times over )

You know even though im a DBZ fan Ill have to agree with the last part the way they just stand around acting like they're constipated, theirs no argument on that one, in fact i think its funny. But my favorite character is gohan when he's fighting cell in the cell saga, and trunks, the future trunks and Pan shes adorable.

I remember half-naked Zechs very well, but I'm coming to a blank on Wufei. >.> Need to rewatch that episode.

First, for the sake of vanity and curiosity, which fic was it? I never got far with Rurouni Kenshin as a fanfic medium (liked Kaoru too much to do anything wild). You should try my 'Don't Wake Me' music video - once your 2 week wait is up. It was made to go with one of my RK fics. ^.~

And no, you're not the only one to think Freckles was an insanely girlish song for a samurai anime. I just figured it was meant for Misao - it sounds like her type of singing.

YYH is god of my anime universe. As a worshiper I can tell you - Japanese is beautiful. You'll get used to Kurama's voice fast, and you'll love Hiei's voice (you'll never go back to dubbed after you hear Hiei's voice...) Rent a dvd or two from Netflix ( www.netflix.com ) if you can't afford to buy one - that will let you compare the Japanese to the dub. There's a free trial rental, so you can cancel quick and not have to spend a penny. ^.^ I recommend getting the long movie - it has all the characters, so you can hear all of their Japanese voice actors.
