I like the idea of things that could never happen in this plane or reality, never ever. Things like well, everything in anime, especially the hair. I love the hair. :D

1) because of the culture surrounding it
2) because i've found some good ones
3) because i've found a LOT that suck
4) because there are people who freak out when i tell them Inuyasha is a horrible anime
5) because it's very easy to make fun of
6) because i really don't have anything better to do with my life.

That just about sums it up for me as well. I can get any genre in anime. Whether it's romantic comedy or bloody shoot-em-up stuff, there's something for everyone.

Cept people who can't stand big eyes.

And Bulghod... *claps* yes, InuYasha SUCKS.

The subject seems well answered, but I have never been known to keep my opinions to myself for long. I was brought into the family of anime and AMVs through friends. I discovered a world of art, drama, action, and everything that makes quality entertainment. The one thing that keeps me watching however is the art. I simply love it and will die an anime fan.
I am the mostly Togusa Human.

For me it is the fantasy aspect of anime that keeps me there.

Personally, I have way to much free time. So instead of sitting here, thinking about how depressing reality is, I prefer to watch a new story unfold, with lots of pretty colors :)

...and the hair

On the hair subject, I started growing my hair 4/5 years ago because I thought Android #17 was cool, lol >_<

To put it bluntly, I continue to like it because I love the art style, the stories, the music, and above all - the characters. It's my hobby, I guess. Not so much making AMVs, more like a little bit of everything.
I think that about somes it up for me. :) My love of anime has just expanded and grown on me. I love the feeling when I find a new series that I get hooked on. Then I get to hook my friends on it. Have a group of friends over here that was recruited to get to gether and watch anime, go to conventions, and stuff. Some I wouldn't have met or really seen much. Anime is our entertainment. We have different tastes, but there's something in it for all of us.

There's so MUCH that relates to anime. Anime is what got me to make my first webpage and get into graphic designing, it revived my love for art and drawing, it started me on writing (fanfiction), it gave me an deep interest and admiration for Japan's culture that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Now, it got me into film editing for AMVs, something I would never have considered I could do.

Besides all of this though, when it just comes to watching and enjoying the anime, I don't think I'll ever tire of some of the series out there. I like movies and reading books out there, but it can't compete to some of the anime I've grown to love. From the characters, stories, drama, comedy, art-style--anime just takes the cake to whatever else is available. I don't think I'll be one of those that tires of anime. Even if my involvement in it diminishes with life some, I can see myself always going back to watch my favorite series and finding new ones.

There's a lot of anime that doesn't interest me, but there's more then enough that does to keep me in it for the long run.
