AMV Duel

Hey this is just a random idea i thoughted up. just like a small duel between 2 people to display their AMV skillz and put them to a test. i have to state that right now it's just an idea, and i'm not all that eager to do it right now

Basic Rules for 2 people:
1) find 1,3, or some odd number of ppl to be your jury
2) the two combatants must agree on a category of AMV, like Romance, Action, Drama, Comedy, whatever category y'all can come up with
3) once the subject has been agreed upon, each combatant will assign the opponent a song, some small suggestions here
a) instrumental songs are perfectly fine in any category, but i'd suggest that both ppl would have to use instrumental
b) if you can send the song to your opponent, you may want to send the lyrics as well, don't want the person to spend most of their time searchin for lyrics, that's just dirty play
c) if you're not doing a comedy, don't give the person a comedy song.
4) you agree to a due date, the recomended time would be 4-6 weeks, if you don't make it before the date, you automatically lose and will be taunted and tortured until my computer freezes up
5) either you both use Windows Movie Maker, or don't. do not try to compare a whimpy WMV to a full effect and super enhanced AVI or MPEG
6) when your vid is done, post it up on whatever thread you're using, and tell your jury about it
7) whoever is acting jury, after they watch, they ought to put up a reply saying which vid is better, and any other comments. it would be REALLY nice if you give them each an opinion
8) whoever's got the most votes wins... duh

again this is just for competitive fun, and i'm only throwing out the idea.

Hmm it's pretty good idea.

I might even think about giving it a shot if you where gonna make it happen

i could make it happen, but i'd need an extra person to judge, or i could be the judge. at least that would make things easier, two people judgin vids where one of them is their own, it risks being weighted and the argument over whose is better could go on for a looong time.

ok then dramatic it is! so then we go to songs. umm how about you do it to.... either Birdhouse in Your Soul by They Might be Giants, or... Electric Music and the Summer People by Beck
