i always thought pokemon was too kiddy for me but it's not really really bad. i havn't seen alot of digimon but it looks like it has alot of potential and i did actually enjoy most of what i saw. sailor moon is just bad, ghost in the shell was a little freaky and didn't really end but was an awsome movie. akira again, wierd ending but cool movie.

Yeah well, the dub blows. you should find/watch the original.Anime Jedi wrote: Sailor Moon: it's ok, but there were some things I disliked. Like how they use the same jokes. eg: Luna doesn't really show much support in Serena, Serena's always late...
Also, they never show when someone gets hit in the face. One of those annoying edits. Someone get ready to slap another in the face, then the picture goes else where and that victim has a nice big red mark on their cheek.
seasons 3 and 4 ar eon DVD uncut now, and seasons 1 and 2 are coming out Sept 30th in box set form. Uncut subbed only

Pokemon is the only one out of that list that I don't like much. It can be funny, but it gets worn out. (Wobbafett rocks, but I'm pretty sure I fugged up the spelling)
I've never seen Ghost in the Shell, but I plan to.
Digimon is actually pretty good, I enjoy it, but unfortunately never have time to sit and watch it.
Akira was good.
And Sailor Moon is good too, especially those subbed episodes Garylisk sent me along with the DDR project (thanks a bunch man)

Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

I cant really see why these animes wouldnt be put together?
I kinda liked pokemon when it first came out and I thought it had potensial to grow into a good series but it fell into the trap of corperisation and such.
I never watched Digimon, but from what i saw of ads and stuff it looked really bad...
Akira was great, but i didnt like the end when the big blob made its apearance, i liked the scene were tetsuo was in the bedroom adn all the bears and stuff came out all dripping with milk...
Sailor moon is just not my cup of tea so to speak, i just think the show lacked meaningfull characters
Ghost in the shell was pretty good, but i think it could have been longer and gone into more detail about the cyborg...

Pokemon: I started watching it about half way through the first series and enjoyed it. I don't watch it that much now, but I don't change the channel every time it comes on either.
Digimon: When I watched the first series I said "This is garbage, I'm not watching this" but I came back day after day until eventually I had seen the whole first series. Then I watched the second series and am now almost through the third (the one with Takato and Guilmon - that was really confusing.) Out of them all I like the third one best, it seems to be the most serious without being too repetitive.
Sailor Moon: Never watched it, I already get a slight taunting from my brother about watching Pokemon and Digimon, watching Sailor Moon would throw any remaining respect he had for me right out the window.
Ghost in the Shell: Like most anime movies, it confused me but inspite of that I really liked it.
Akira: I've only seen half of it, but it looked great. I'm gonna hunt down the boy whos got the copy and get to see the end one of these days.
So in answer to your question, I like all those animes too. I cant think of one I don't like, whether they are meant for kids or for adults.

Pokemon was much better in the 1st 2nd & 3rd seasons. After that it got too repetative.
Sailor Moon is my faveorite anime. A lack of meaningful characters? I didn't think so. I love the plot, it's like none other I have seen.
And Digimon 1st and 3rd seasons were the best. The first had a style all it's own. The 2nd season you just have to suffer through the first half to get to the Blackwargreymon and Oikawa part. Then it picks up and is very cool. The 3rd season is by far the best. Excelent plot and very good characters. The end of the season had so many plot twists and turns you have to just wait and see where it ends up ^_^ And the whole thing with Geri and her depression and suicidalness was very well done IMO. 3rd season was much more mature than the other seasons and there were many parts in it that I was surprised the trigger-happy censors let go. Hell, I'm surprised it got on tv at all. lol.
Fox had kicked Escaflowne off air because of it's voilent nature and then they show Digimon 3rd season. O_o What?! lol
My 2 cents.

Well, I have to agree with that. I was actually confused. I couldn't believe that this came from the same base thought of Digimon. It was just too different, but in a good way. And I'm not sure about this whole having to yell, to share the Digimon's pain and to share your strength. I thought that was annoying. Not everyone yells when hurt.The_Digital_Phoenix wrote:Fox had kicked Escaflowne off air because of it's voilent nature and then they show Digimon 3rd season. O_o What?! lol
