Nah, nothing to explode about
But of course, there's no objective measure of the reality of music
That is because it is all based on an opinion or bias of some sort.

It is almost impossible to find someone who can critique music without some bias, in fact it is.

See Korova, told you *someone* was a prick.
But I'm not mad, nope, I feel calmed and centered.

To me music is not a human creation thus humans cannot completely comprehend it.
Meaning they cannot really judged it.
Likes and dislikes are notwithstanding.
Oh, why bother...

Nicely said, down to the why-bother part.

Sadly, I think (thanks to me opening my big mouth... or not opening and twitching instead) this thread is headed for another series of rants and weird philosophical argument, etc. Like every other thread where I opened my virtual mouth too widely. Ah well.

/goes back to listen to every single ProjeKct. So what if a few critics said Space Groove sucks? What do they know...

Thank You Oto.
Truly think the "why bother" part was the greatest example of intelligence.
Would have continued for people like you that can think but sometimes, it's tiring to explain to others.
Not to mention it's 12 am here.
It's just sad that people would actually "want" to cramp an art.
It's not ours to destroy or invalidate but for our use.
It's a gift.

There's nothing wrong with a good argument, I'm just ridiculing my over-thinking self.

It would actually be very interesting to have a discussion like that. I just don't know if this is a good time and place for it, considering how where this thread was headed originally

Anyways, nothing wrong with wondering about who else likes the same music as you! Just try not to pretend this music is somehow better. Because, when it comes down to supporting your argument, you can't really prove anything...

You know, I was actually wondering today why we as humans make and listen to music.

It doesn't make sense in the natural order of things. It's just kind of something that has followed humanity throughout history. Nature has it's own song and sound, but we have so many different versions of song.

Truly the forum needs thread "re-routers" like us.
That gives me an idea for a new thread.
Eh, there's always this one.
Anyways, nothing wrong with wondering about who else likes the same music as you!
Of course not, I'm all for kinship.

Indeed, guess that sums some my POV and the sourse of my "anger" (discomfort is a better word).

I think that finding one to love can be found through music.

If music lyrics explain how you feel and you both feel the same.

Very true Korova.
If I ever find some as eclectic and picky with music as I am; person that isn't afraid to try new things-broaden horizons and acquire knowledge, then I'll be musically set.
Sometimes to explains things, people just put some music and the song explains it all.
The gift is indeed priceless.
