i started working a little bit on it last night. all im doing now is writing down idea's, what should be in it, how im gona lay it out, that sort of stuff. hopefully do a nice blueprint of the guide. next il probaly start drafting random sections of the guide. that'l start tonight.

anyway, i seriosly need some sujestions on what to put in. put simply, anything you want to know about vegas. any effect you saw in another amv but dont know how to do it, anything you've got in your head but cant figure out how to make it, any little problems you may have in vegas. just send me (or taran. he's probably the only person here who would know more about vegas than i would) anything about vegas that you want answered.

Well starting off with basics would be a good start
Trimming, transitions, etc/

Also having a guide for project/export settings would be nice.

After finishing the basic tutorial/guide to Vegas, I think you can start adding a guide on how to do certain advanced effects.

Look over the guides to Premiere and just "translate" them to Vegas.

It's true the .org needs a Vegas guide.

Vegas is a program that many uses, but (like me) do not use it to it's full content, so VEGAS GUIDE!!!!

Considering that I use Vegas as my primary tool, premiere pro doesn't like older athlons ;.;. I'm willing to help out.

Sorry for the double post it seems I can't edit my post so anyway...
Here's some basics about Vegas5 that I think should make it into the guide.
FX Chains: This is basically how Vegas does filters. the nice thing is that it is very intuitive and easy to enable/disable anyone one FX (filter)
Basic keyboard shortcuts: Self explanatory.
Media Trimmer: Nice little spot to view clips and make subclips.
Envelopes: Basically these are event markers and are used for fader controls.
I'm sure there's more basic features to Vegas5 that I'm forgetting. but that's all I can think of for now.
