kagome, you op is up.

i'm currently of two minds about calling FF ( or any game based ) amv a linkin-ball-z video. It definetly fals into the oversued catagory, but even more so than your average linkin-ball-z video, the quality usualy speaks for itself. ( that and there are already inherent problems with game amv's that make them exceptionaly hard to work with ( and get a good result 8P ))

I don't recall posting up a message asking for the need of a "Harsh but helpful" opinion. I could have just gone to a 3 year old for the kind of opinion left on my video. *Shakes his head* If you don't get something, ask before you just ruin someone's scores just for the fun of being an %$^$

I apologise to anyone who has read this post, including the admins, except for iranai. *Shakes his head* Extremely childish.

Muyo_ryo. as you didn't apologize to me ^_^ I feel fully empowered to post the following. ( and I won't come back to this subject again )

A: The main website neither requires nor encourages opinions to be giving just by people who have ben 'invited' to do so. This is basically a method of "fixing" the numbers as instead of getting a wide range of opinions a linkin-ball-z video creator would go out to all his linkin-ball-z friends, and How they say how great his video is because it explains the torment in bulmas and vegetas relationship >_>

B: All of my scores are internally consistent. That's why I post my "guide" on every review I make, even though I don't always go into detail on that scoring system ( that could change ). so you can see exactly how you were scored, and why you received the score that you did. ( I try very hard to keep consistent with this guide, regardless of how well I like or dislike the actual video )

C: The opinions aren't a game to try and see who can get the highest score. It's simply a method of qualifying the reasons a viewer liked or disliked an AMV, as apposed to the 'star' system where somone just says "I didn't like it" or "great AMV".

Opinions are just that, opinions. If you don't like them, feel free to not listen. But don't go around attacking people just because you don't like their opinion.

[\rant]

I'll be adding this next bit to my guide. but it's worth pointing out

good points: This is the one or two things that made the video work for me.

bad points: This is the list of 'mistakes'. And I normally don't consider anything in this section to be "opinion

General: this is almost all opinion. Most things are grey, rather than black or white ( neither good or bad ). I put things here when I believe my perspective is 'coloring' how I view the amv.

but did you consider that maybe, and just maybe, I didn't WANT your harsh and ridiculous opinion? :)

kagome: Op is up ^_^ I liked this one better, although it felt a bit dated, ( consistanly dated, so it wasn't a bad thing ( ie song video matched in 'age' ))

i'm changing the guidlines for timing a bit, as i have a better model now. It's still under review though.
Thanks good sir, left a response with most of the comments on your op, so I wont reintenerate majority of it here. 1 major thing is bugging me though, what did you think was wrong with the sound? (you marked it down without explanation, and was the only one to mark it down) Since I did go through some extra effort to make that good ;p I want to make sure it wasn't a mistake.

anyways thanks, and glad you liked it.

Bakadeshi: The answer to your question is 'mostly' in the guide i wrote for myself ( and linked to every review I do )

in general, any CBR mp3 that is either downloaded or riped from a cd get's a base score of 8. the last 2 points are reserved for people who edit the music to fit in better with the project.

This was a mistake on my part btw.
When I originaly red the description of your video I misread the follwing line --? Audio: 190Kbps Lame MP3 (slightly enhanced, original seemed a bit dry)

score has ben adjusted to better fit the work put into the video ^_^

I kinda work on the honesty system here ( as I don't realy believe the end score means much in and of itself ). I figure, if you do something, you'll tell me about it, and if you tell me about it, I asume that you did it. no questiosn asked.

sory for the mistake ^_^ gommen.

BTW as an example of a AMV that would get a perfect 10 for audio here's this gem ( -NOT- my amv )

http://home.comcast.net/~chichirii/Ran_ ... _divx4.avi

DL and watch the video before looking at the spoiler below. ( select text to be able to read it )

SPOILER
This clip had -NO- video editing at all. It is a direct 1:1 rip of the DVD source. The -only- thing ededited was the audio track
END SPOILER

Ah ok, I guess I didn't fully understand what you ment with the honesty system thing in your first post. I do know a few people that rate scores like that. if thats all it is then its ok. I just was worried something else was wrong. ^^ Thanks for clearing that up.
