Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

DDR4 Track 01: Extravangant Opening

It's not an AMV in the traditional sense of the word, but it relates to a project dominated by AMVs, so I figured what the hell.

Lots of CG, most of it not very good. Flame on.

Ooh, I forgot to mention:

- Matroska splitter v1.0.2.3 or higher required if you want to seek. No AVI version will be made available, mostly because I don't have a second host to post said AVI version on. The appropriate software can be downloaded here:
http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html

- Vorbis audio used; you'll need a Vorbis decoder as well. CoreVorbis is nice.

- The version of Synchronized Love included in this track's opening did not premiere in the DDR4 project proper. (Ooh, special edition.)

Some may say that I went out of my way to make this track accessible to the smallest number of people. I'll just respond that I wanted to play with new toys, consequences be damned.

Man, you ARE a Matroska whore.

Luckily I was able to play it well.

Nice 3D stuff though! :)

Indeed. :P

Minor correction: v1.0.1.9+ of the splitter should let you seek. So long as Matroska's new lacing method is supported by said splitter, you'll be fine.

The file plays in older versions of the splitter, too; you'll just have to play it linearly.
Nice 3D stuff though! :)
Thanks

Jesus christ on a bicycle made for two!

Excellent work. Now I *really* want to see the rest of the project... I wonder if there's an ETA on the BT tracker going up?

*goes back to making dark sacrifices to the DDR gods to get onto the DDR5 project*
