Animes I hate....hmmm....I don't really hate animes...I hate characters. There's always one character in an anime show I cannot stand, no matter what people say. I do like various animes, especially Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Inuyasha, Detective Conan, DBZ, Outlaw Star, Real Bout High School, Rurouni Kenshin, and Mamono Hunter Yohko.

I *despise* Pokemon though. I kinda like the first season, at least that was sorta interesting. But the Orange Islands/Johto/Advanced/Challenged, those I cannot stand..and it's pitiful that I can list the various seasons. Ash is what, in his teens now? Besides the fact that basically all he does is travel over the land trying to be the best. That gets old after awhile.

Reign was fucking confusing. I watched *one* episode, and was confused out of my mind. The characters had abnormally long arms and legs and looked like they were part of a reject anime.

Wolf's Rain I dislike solely because the plot is freaking confusing. I like the drawings, and I like the character interactions at times, but the plot confused me to no end.

FLCL was just plain nuts. No plot to speak off, and the main character had a perverted family and things coming out of his forehead.

3x3 Eyes is also a confusing anime for me. This girl, for some reason, cannot remember she's a demon and only when she's in mortal danger or this one guy is, she becomes her demon self? It's a spilt personality case between a human and a demon and the human's as innocent as a person can be!

Those are the ones I can think off of the top of my head. At 1:31 here in the morning, my brain is nearly dead. Like I said, I mainly hate characters, not the anime itself. The Japanese version of any anime is always better than the dubbed though. I love the japanese versions of Yu-Gi-Oh and Gundam Wing. The characters don't sound as whimpy as they do in the dubbed. Of course, I also got to keep in mind that most of the animes that are shown in America lately are for children, normally children ages 5-13 or so. There's not a big call for adult animes...yet as most of the ones i've heard of contain excessive violence and that. Course, some of the adult animes I have seen suck big time and I can't remember them off the top of my head. Feel free to argue with me though. I like good arguments.
Humanity confuses me, Chaos rules over all, and yes dang it I am a Hellenistic Paganist so get over it!

Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Bizzare huh?

Speaking from my perspective, it just didn't make sense sometimes. For example, how come eject never works? Massive plot device.

Secondly, if *Massive Spoiler Warning!* Lilith (AKA Rei) was so God-like, how could she be manipulated like Gendo did and if she's angel-like, how come her Eva kept screwing up? *End Warning*

Next, Shinji. Too unrealistic for my taste. His emotions fluctuate more radicaly and more frequently that is humanly possible I think.

Finaly, religious influence. I'm am Atheist, (even though my first name means "Christ Bearer") and to be honest, it was too previaling.

I could think of more reasons if I sat around some more.

I'm an atheist and its one of my favorites. Its not trying to force you to like all the Christian refrences. I think they could have backed it off a tad bit, but, religiously, it wasn't too much of a big deal.

You are right about the characters, though, but I still thought it was cool.

One more thing, I had the luxury of watching the entire series in one day (plus the movies), and it still made sense to me. :)

Personally, I don't try to find their meaning in the show and try to find my own meaning in it. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better if you watch to enjoy it and not try to figure out what it means.

The Anime I hate most is Yu-Gi-Oh!!

Only kids under the age of ten would appreciate a show that teaches them how to play a card game when a simple rule book could teach you just as much. It's monotonous. Although it had slightly more intelligence than Pokemon did, it's still geared toward kids. I don't like the way the characters look either. The chicks just are not attractive at all.

98% of hentai is absolute garbage. And the 2% of tolerable ones or almost entirely comedic and self satire.

Sword for Truth. Characters appear, fight with no explanation and are not seen again. Random sex scenes between opium crazed animals. A verticle sword slash from head to stomach somehow resulted in a decapitation at the neck. Yeah....

Weiss Kreuz, I am sorry fangirls, is crap. Florist assassins? The animation is as fluid as shows from the mid-late 70's. The plot is so lucicrous I laughed aloud at what is supposed to be an emotional moment. It's a pretty boy soap opera! The stereotypical bishonen being about the only thing remarkably notable here and even then the character designs were at times not even consisten from scene to scene.

Appocalypse Zero, Popotan, DiGi Charat, run=dim, Dog Warriors, SD Gundam, DBZ, Sin: The Motion Picture all are pretty dismal as well but at least there were at least some marginal positives compared to the ones explained in depth.

I hope people will embrace the better aspect of posting and not just raise the post count for the thread. Telling us the anime you dislike, hate, dispise, spurn, loathe is fine. But tell us why. If you are doing that then you're fine.

Otherwise this is just a showcase of random opinions that has no discussion value. See the forum rules. Also see the MOD's topic "say no to pointless threads". This thread has already proven itself to have purpose. Please keep it that way. I'm not trying to be the General Anime KGB. I am just trying to reiterate what we went over earlier.

Askua was the only normal Eva pilot in that show.

Done. It was my rewatch.

Neither did I. I just formed my own opinion and went with it. What I thought was that humans should play, or play with, dieties, or they will screw themselves over.

Oh come on. That show is hillarious! I like it when the bottled water called "Frued" makes people EXPLODE!!! I'm not sure I enjoy that show in the light it was intended but I think its funny as hell. Plus I liked the idea of the actors getting together and making their own show. Even if it is rediculous at times.

My anime hate list:
.Hack/SIGN: Had so much potential. So drawn out and bloody boreing. No character, hardly any story development. Which makes it more frustrating is that the character designs, animation, and music are all beautiful.

Noir: Once you get past the great action scenes and promise of a great story involving beautiful young assassins you realize that there's not a personality between the both of them. Once again the music is awesome. I love Yuki Kajiuri!

Reign: Aparently in this alternate Greece everyone wears a thong and Pathagreus has winged ninja. Besides my problems with no one wearing any semblence of pants this show just confused me.

SD Gundam Force: So much lamer than the origenal SD Gundam. This fails on the level of many SNL based movies. SD Gundam worked in five minutes or so of absurd goodness and fails in the 25 minute version. And even worse than that is they tried to add a plot and very poorly I might add. Cool toys though.

Yu Gi Oh: This show just annoys the snot out of me. A lot of it has to do with the english dubbing but I also collect Shonen Jump and the uncut Yu Gi Oh manga still annoys the snot out of me, just on a lesser level.

>SORRY FANS<Magical Knight Rayearth: Okay I did like this show up until close to the end. The characters are pretty good and its CLAMP so the character designs are awesome, but the plot aggrivated me sooo much. It was sucha pradictable and uninteresting quest. Everytime I had to hear Hikaru yell out "Umi-chan, Fuu-chan" in a distressed voice I wanted to throw a brick at her stupid head. The most redeming parts of the show are Madoka and Clef (he's like Gandalf only twelve). Uhhhg... so lame.

Evangelion: I did like this show and I still do, but it drives me nuts. There's so much annoying hype about this show and with this new "Platinum" edition coming out with the director's cut it makes me violently ill. As a great man once said its line being raped by a buffalo. Plus I just hate Shinji. I even used to be one of his supporters, but after the movie I just plain hate the little cheese turd.

Winx club: Its not anime but it tries to be and it sucks SO much.

Totally Spies: Pretty girls who are vapid are stil VAPID. Once again not really anime. But worth comlaining about.

Code Lyoko: While I'm in Maguzi (who the hell came up with this name anyway?) watching this steaming pile is like being shaved by a blind, sadistic, midget covered in napalm.
