Avril DID say she was punk . to correct she said that she is the LEADER of all punk . i couldn't care less about her music , but she says that she's punk she poses as a punk , " hates nerds" and is :
a. a bitch , i mean she is , i saw a articale ful of qoutes made by her , and she sounds like the world's biggest bitch.
b. a pop singer . and i'm not talking about the music . a lot of pepole blame several punk bands ( blink , sum ) for being complete sell-outs , maybe that's true but not as bad as this case. she's not a rebel , she's a rebel that socitey can handle , just as much as the socitey wants it , she the " britney spears " of the " bad girls" , not herself . she poses more than a rapper , she tries to pick fights and almost hates every person because he's not like her or because he critsies or in love with her , she actully dissed pepole who wanted to date her calling them nerds or something.
And you know , it okay to be a meida whore , Avril , but GODDAMMIT don't say that you are " punk ".
Now , i don't know , that articale was from 5 months , maybe by then she's grown up , became more nice and DID start to act like a normal person prehapes even a rebel .

Most non-conformists are just pepole who don't like mainstream music. they may be unique or goes with the crowd , they just don't follow main stream music.

Avril is a bad musician....she basicly copies all other great bands, just so she can make good music. Even if she changes the lyrics ..............it still means she's a poser. I think she should listen to good music like Alexisonfire and try to copy them....or not because a good band like them shouldn't be gone.

1. Alexisonfire, hardcore band, major influences clearly including Converge.
2. Converge notably influenced by early hardcore, say Black Flag.
3. Black Flag, west coast punk, influenced by early east coast punk ie. The Stooges.
4. Stooges and Iggy Pop influenced and produced by David Bowie.
5. David Bowie heavily influenced by the Velvet Underground (see also: Bowie's covers of "White Light/White Heat" and "I'm Waiting For the Man" from early BBC sessions).

See, all bands are derivative of other bands. Copying is how new music is made. The Beatles and the Beach Boys copied each other senseless and the results were Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pet Sounds, respectively. McCartney's even admitted to it.

But far more important to her career than her musical ability is her image, and Maxim's photographer's did their best by her. The pictures aren't half bad, either (it's my roommate's, I swear to God).
