Anime Association Brainstorming Thread!
I'm putting together a comedic, silly AMV thats going to have a ton of off the wall stuff. I'm currently looking for the following subjects in ANY anime.
Las Vegas/Gambling
The Alamo (thats gonna be a tough one)
Tacos!
Starbucks/Coffee
Wal-Mart or some kind of shopping center
Someone getting nailed in the head by a thrown book (I know I've seen it a million times! [but where?])
As off the wall as that stuff is I actually have more, which I may post later. The goal of this thread is that I'm asking if anyone here has seen anything on that list in ANY anime they've ever seen. The sillier, stupider, and crazier the suggestions the better. The best suggestions could end up in my AMV, and if that happens you will be credited.
Thanks for any ideas, no matter how insane they are! Thanks.

The ones I can think of offhand would be :
Gambling - One of the first few episodes of Galaxy Angel is mostly about gambling. It's got lots of roulette and maybe even a few slots/cards.
The Alamo - Yeah, I know it's mainstream, but Trigun could work. Also, Wild Arms has a strong "Old Western" type atmosphere.
Coffee - There's lots of coffee shown in Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar.
Shopping - Assuming that you mean grocery stores, there's a few series that have grocery store scenes. Sailor Moon, Girls Bravo, and Kita He ~Diamond Dust Drops~ all have them.
As for clothing stores, there's a much longer list of series that contain clothing store scenes. If you can be more specific about the exact type of store/scene you're looking for, I might be able to narrow them down a bit.
Thrown book - I'm pretty sure there was a scene like that in Love Hina.

as far as the thrown book thing, I seem to remember a scene like that in ROD Tv...
Vagas/Gambling: Tsunami in Naruto does alot of that. Most of the episodes where they introduce her could work. I think its in the episode 70s or 80s...
Shopping: Marmalade boy has quite abit of that.
Tacos: Not anime, but Kimpossible... that grande thing that blond boy and rufus always eating ;p

Wow, this going better than I thought it would.
Most of these ideas are pretty good, at this point the most likely ideas to make it are the Cowboy Bebop Casino and Onegai Twins StarBucks ideas, since I have access to both of those animes on DVD.
I'll have to look through Trigun for something resembling the alamo, thats a pretty good idea.
Still need help on Tacos, Rodeo, and shopping.
--- Earlier I said I was holding back a few. Since this has gone so well, those things were "liberty" and "Bed Bath and Beyond."
For liberty I could use the statue of liberty in ROD, but I'm not too crazy about it.
BB@B I'm completely clueless.
So the new list of needed suggestions is as follows:
Tacos!
Rodeo
Walmart/Shopping Center
liberty
Bed Bath and Beyond

Check Yami no Matseui, or Descendants of Darkness. I believe it's like a 12 episode series, each story arc lasting three eps. There's one arc where our hero Tsusuki poses as a card dealer aboard a cruise ship.kearlywi wrote:I'm putting together a comedic, silly AMV thats going to have a ton of off the wall stuff. Tacos? Try Slayers - Likely the movies. Every Slayers movie and season begins with Lina and company eating something. I imagine at some point I think they ate something resembling a Taco product. Yami no Matseui, Tsusuki eats a lot - does he eat Tacos? I cannot say.
Starbucks - Interesting note - In the classic "date" episode of Yu-Gi-Oh, Tea and Yugi start out in a coffe shop, there's a quick peek at their food, and the labels do look Starbucks-like. I could prolly get you a screen shot, that's about the most you could get. Likely some coffee scenes in YNM also. Hmm.. who else drinks coffee?
Wal-Mart/Shopping? In many episodes of CardCaptor Sakura and in the first movie, our heroes patron a "cute" shop called Twin Bells where you can buy books, stuffed animals, and arts and crafts supplies, as well as the occasional magic card. There's also an ep of Slayers where they go to a magic shop, but that's pretty obscure. If you're looking for something more modern, Video Girl Ai starts out in a video store, and it's a short series.
The book thing - Hmmm... Smells like Love Hina, Trigun, mebbe even YNM again... hmm,, what did I see recently with that in there... Does it have to be a book? Haveto come back to it.
Hope I've helped out!
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.
