Well, if I remember correctly, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was animated outside of Japan. So yes, if it was animated by all japanese people it *should* probably be considered anime.Nandez wrote:What if a anime is drawn in England by Japanese artistts its not coming from Japan so does that make it legal? And what aobut the self animation vids thats not exactly anime either. And a while back a live vid was allowed on here by a mod.
As to the live action video, people aren't supposed to upload non-anime vids to the local servers (although to clarify, original animation is allowed). If you do see any live action videos, or just ones that aren't anime on local, please drop a thread in the mod box.

It comes down to the head guys in certain cases - Phade had at least one local video that he allowed, which contained no anime at all. He wanted it on his site, so it's still on local. So yeah, there are exceptions to the 'anime-only' rule but only the owner and his admins (maybe mods, but I doubt it) get to break that rule. It is their site, so it should be expected. As the rules stands, regular members are not allowed to upload anything but anime - prefered friends may upload whatever they like at the admins' discretion (or Phade himself).Nandez wrote:And a while back a live vid was allowed on here by a mod.

Okat aobut Teen Titans though no doubt its origins are not anime at all.But do you know who the drawers are?Maybe Japanese artists draw teen titans and thats why it looks animeish. And the opening is done my two girls from Japan so wouldn't pushing it off the site be wrong if just the origin isn't anime?Of course I don't know who draws the the show however, but the new writers of it have slaughtered it from its original glory but thats off topic.

Ah Ok well I wouldn't say it was inspired by animaiton. They probally just are drawing it that way to make it more popular and usieng the new style to draw attentiono away form how much they censored it like they do anime. So i'm guessing the manga i'm drawing I draw it like "anime" but thats doesn't make it a manga more like a American comic right?

i think this all got started by some calling them Nazi's.....but as has been established, who cares? If you think that your vids were removed unjustly, then put a drop in thier box. I am sure they will share with you their reason to remove said vids if you ask them nicely. Teen Titans is an american cartoon, therefore not "anime", because if i remember correctly, anime is short for japanese animation, and TT is not japanese animation.
There....for the millionth time, we have figured out why they are not in the org anymore. As soon as Webster creates a definition of anime that means all animated series, only Japanese Animated series and movies will be allowed..
I think that is a good explaination.

Well, with globalization and the issue of outsourcing, a lot of the actual animation may take place in, say, Korea rather than Japan.
That said, I think anime will be distinguished by the fact that it's generally written in Japan, is directed/produced in Japan, is voiced primarily by Japanese and is released as a Japanese production primarily.
There's still some deviation from some of those points, but for what this site considers to be anime at least most of these hold true.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
