. none of the Guides on board, nor your guide, states what size the Video Picture
should be - for the cleanest and clearest AMV's

. This has been sorta a "pet-peeve" ( a draw-back ) for 94% of us trying to
make good AMV's - the Size of the Picture -vs- the size of the overall encode.

( i.e. at 24 fps and 786 X 576, your files is over 60 megs - while 24 fps and
576 X 432, your files can be over 200 meg! )
. there needs to be some sort of Aspect's-Ration Defined for Guides Lines.

The reason none of the guides say this is because there is no absolute answer!!

Although resolution can have a large impact on the distribution size you will need to encode to make the video look good, so can many other things such as - framerate, the complexity of the images, the amount of fast motion, the sharpness of the image etc etc.

There are no fixed rules for this, you just have to experiment and see what works out best.

. Its' also, a "gimme" that we know when to use what setting.

. but, how can we "teach" people to experiment with "the settings" when 90%
of the people don't even understand "what they should be looking for!?

. I guess that I'm asking for a "list of Technic's" in properly Doubling/Cutting
the Frames for ACTION SCENE's -vs- Raising the Bit Rate to counter-act the
Motoin scene.. The Technic's are ... just ... not being mentioned!

Those settings are mentioned. In copious amounts. Do you actually read the guides that you constantly criticize or are you just spewing text?

The guide states things in a "this does this" manner. It's your job to use your brain and figure out the interactions. In many cases example interactions are even given.

Um... the guides DO explain what you're supposed to be looking for, and offer lots of suggestions for getting there. Like increasing target filesize, reducing resolution, etc. etc.
