I only put them up in the first place because others were donig them, and they weren't being blocked. Well, most are now. I do wonder why there are still some TT vids that have NOT been blocked. Kinda not fair...

I'm not sure but I think they will allow you to list the creation of it, just not host it locally.
But if you do list it, don't be surprised when your videos are DQ'ed from the VCA's.

I would love to have fun with an AMV from The WinX Club, but like SMURF's
they are just not allowed on this site.
*rolls on floor laughing*

Oh man, the idea of a Smurf music video on this site...that's too funny. Even the word "Smurf" makes me laugh...

It's a good definition, which makes what you point out JMZ, irrelevant. The site is about Japanese Animation music videos specifically, so it doesn't really matter how Japanese Animation came into being, or what it was inspired by originally. It also doesn't matter if we crazy Americans start making stuff that looks like anime (yes, the term just means animation; but to me in infers animation done by the Japanese) or is inspired by it; to me, it simply doesn't belong on this site.

Teen Titans is NOT an anime, beleive me. Ive watched that thing, and that so doesnt count as an anime. Code Lyoko... maybe. But probably not.

Uh...but there have been some "anime" that have NOT been produced in Japan...and yet people still refer to them as anime. The line isn't quite so easy to draw.

Nandez wrote:Okat aobut Teen Titans though no doubt its origins are not anime at all.But do you know who the drawers are?Maybe Japanese artists draw teen titans and thats why it looks animeish. And the opening is done my two girls from Japan so wouldn't pushing it off the site be wrong if just the origin isn't anime?Of course I don't know who draws the the show however, but the new writers of it have slaughtered it from its original glory but thats off topic.
although you do make a good point about who the artists are. I do believe the animators American or some other english speaking decent (ohh look at me trying to sound all smart). I only say this because if you look athe current trend in animation it seems that it is going towards an anime-ish type of styles (yes i know anime isn't a style its just the easyest way to explain it right now). And looking at if from and american stand point it is going back a few steps....being the style used in most anime is a variation of an early american style of animaiton....woot now im off topic oh well just throwing in my 2 cents

oh and please correct me if i have stated anything incorrect i dont want to be giving out false informaton thanks.

Maybe everyone should just go back to calling it japanimation, to help limit "confusion"

Or maybe we should change the sites name to jamv.org. There is no current site with that name. It would also elimate the possiblity of Animation coming up as an issue and it is more specific.
