There's gotta be something else!

Post by AKA Presentman » Sat Oct 30, 2004 4:39 am

So, I see a lot of metal & nu-metal & j-pop and such going on around here, but where's the classic stuff?

All you who be in the old school, speak up!

What about the Offspring? Sponge? Alice in Chains? Candlebox? Rage Against the Machine? Yes? Led Zeppelin? Rush? Soundgarden? Stone Temple Pilots? Van Morrison? Allman Brothers?

And what about my fellow bassists and jazzbos? Who's got love for Stanley Clarke? Vic Wooten? Jaco? Bela Fleck? Primus?

Where did all the good music go?

Sorry, I stole it all and it's sitting in my hard drive.

Of the bands you listed, I like Led Zeppelin, Rush, Soundgarden, STP, and (to some extent) the Allman Brothers. But, really, there's not much to say about most of them, which is why there are so few threads that mention them.

Just wanted to add an eye-roll in there. Now I feel special.

And coincidentally, the only good music is GWAR.
