Well...let's see...given, as was pointed out, we're going with the current qualifications of US president (US born, appropriate age, etc.)

I'm putting my money on...
Jack King from Getter Robo

Reasons:
1. The man's a dyed-in-the-wool cowboy...people seem to love that in a candidate
2. His delightful use of Engrish ("Not so good-a to say, Japanese mountain monkey!")
and
3. The man has a giant cowboy super robot (Texas Mack) ...that's a major in with almost any political part.

Yes you did. Jinnai and Wolfwood would both be at each others throats during the primaries for the Republican candidate. Plus Ilpalazzo is somewhere to the right of Hitler, NOT independent.

Onizuka would be the only viable Democrat so far.

My specs:
Wolfwood(Republican)..............Victory, unless he kills another kid on TV
Onizuka(Democrat)..................Good contester, but has to appeal to a lot of undecideds
Ilpalazzo(uh...Across Party)......No chace unless Wolfwood chooses Vash as Veep(World

Just think! That oratory, that fire, those disappearing acts when things get rough! And the look with the stylish glasses and the proud "Comrade!" he spouts will definiely make him viable.

It also makes him a raving lunatic. I suggest lain, with the wave of her hand she could reset the universe, who would mess with us?? Plus she has enough mental issues to qualify as a politician.

Lain is also vaguely creepy. Her "smile" could make young children cry. Make her Secratary of State. It doesn't matter who is president, she must be SecState.
