If you dont like having your clips cut for you, then what do you do? Actually go through the entire anime and find what you want, then cut it?

If you could, go into a little detail about how you make an AMV w/out the clips cut for you.

Thanks!

Yes.
The way I work:
1. Throw a couple episodes on the timeline.
2. Scroll through them quickly cutting at parts i wanna keep.
3. Move the parts I cut out so they are right after the end of the song on the timeline, delete all the other crap.
4. Use this pile of clips to make my video, repeating steps 1-3 as necessary.

Yes. What else?

- Feed the episode into the Preview Monitor
- Scroll through to find the desired scene
- Set in and out points
- Hit the Overlay button, which drops the clip into the timeline at the cursor on the selected track
- Find next scene, repeat steps 3-5 as needed
