Not really, eeeerrrr...but that's the reason I think. When there are no big visual effects it's easier to stole cause harder to recognize by the real creator.

u cant steal footage. u can cut up some1 elses amv and use it if u want . i wudnt care if some1 done it to me or if 1 do it. if i want that clip. as long as theres no effects in it and u use A clip not 3 clips in a row back to back .
at the end of the day whats the difference if i get the clip form an amv or download the whole movie/episode? i have done this once with a yyh amv .
i owned the movie and burned it onto cd but then when i watched it it crashed at the same part again and again so i took the clip from another amv. u may be able to spot it but i think he used the same download as me its in my yu yu hakusho movie 1 part 2 amv jus as yuski (that his name?) runs into the fire ball.
this was harmless and u wud not of known unless i told u.

So what if you use a clip from someone's amv that contains some edits? Like an effect or a sequence of clip placements? Is that okay?

Stealing edits is quite a crime

I believe that as long as what you have stolen is just a clip of pure, unedited footage, it's not quite the same as stealing like ten cuts from 1 clip.

Then again, what I think often gets me into trouble
