I do rememeber my best friend in college swearing up and down that he would never date a woman in the miliarty let alone marry one. That all changed when he watched Robotech: The Macross Saga. There was something about Commander Lisa Hayes that changed his thinking. Less than two years later he was married to his own Lisa Hayes. It just so happened that this one was an Army helicopter pilot he met in Bosnia.

As for me it is a toss up between Misato Kasuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Utena Tenjou from Revolutionary Girl Utena. I have it bad for Miss Utena
