Point made
Clara clearly presents her point. What she says does make sense. I happen to agree with the FACT that yuri isn't hentai or lesbian pornography. I, for one, can't argue this any further. Have a good day.[/i]

And speaking of necroposting... >_>
We all do. But that doesn't mean we can't like our Anime girls too.dogpatch798915 wrote:myself i like actual women.
The first half of that is very untrue... but whatever... Regardless of your hostility towards our personal interests and tastes... here's something for you.dogpatch798915 wrote:yuri with anime=bad yuri with real women=good!

It's one of my favorite... um... hotter... lesbian erotica images. Or really, I'm choosing to show this one because it's the only one I could find in my collection that doesn't show nudity. ^_^'
Well, enjoy. ^_~

Here is another thing. To further clarify a point. Yuri isn't hentai or suggestive at all. Yuri is just the thought, the picture, or the words in and within themselves. It's the person that determines it's use or what is concived as. If you can't see how this works, I'll answer as soon as possible. Have a good day.

Of course. There is nothing sexual about sex, but it's merely a bodily function. A picture is but a physical collection of paint molecules; there's nothing inherently visual about it. There is no phonological content in speech, it's only vibrations of vocal chords floating around in the air.Emon47 wrote:Here is another thing. To further clarify a point. And there is nothing, absolutely nothing of semantic or semiotic content in the texts you and I had just typed.
Dispense the inherent and delineated, and transcend the 7th state of altered consciousness. There is no return.

Very Funny
Ha ha ha. Very funny. That's taking thing litteraly. I'm talking about in general. You focus on tehsexuality, I'm focusing on maturity. That's how perspectives differ.

More questions
If you want to get serious, yes it is that thought in itself. It is exactly that, but I'm taking about how you put that thought to use. How do you see it as. What kind of way do you see this kind of sexuality in this form. On what terms do you base what way you look at this kind of stuff. I'm talking about how this has many different ways of being viewed.

Well, perhaps your original point wasn't completely clear to me then. Seeing things from different perspectives is, well, my specialty.
I have no problem accepting the subjectivity of perception, and I'm one of those people who doesn't actually take much 'baggage' of pre-conceived notions when looking at things.
We live in a world of contexts, and some of these contexts come out of things that are 'pre-wired' in us as people. I'm sure there may be a few exceptions to this, but I think it's pretty safe to say that when 99.999% of us see two people - whatever gender they may be - naked, in peculiar positions, and/or touching each other in a certain fashion, we think 'sex'. There's nothing wrong, unnatural, or ugly about thinking 'sex'. Conversely, I think it's at least strange when a person sees something of the sort and doesn't think 'sex' - whatever 'sex' means to you. But saying that Yuri, which by definition (at least that I'm aware of) is supposed to be a genre of anime fiction dealing with directly-intimate relations between girls (to put it mildly, and to contrast it with the definition of Shoujo-Ai, which does not entail a similar degree and exposition of intimacy), does not carry hentai (if we use it in the 'erotic anime' sense, and not neccesarily in the 'perversion' sense) or suggestive (if we assume this to be sexual suggestiveness) connotations is pretty, well, 'out there'.

On the other hand, if you were implying what I think you were implying there - in the real world, I have trouble accepting that Yuri carries no sexual/erotic/pornographic connotation to it (assuming that your definition of Yuri is the same as mine).Yuri isn't hentai or suggestive at all.
