How well is anime known where you live.

hmm...i cant say Anime is very popular in where I live which sucks big time cuz i got no one to talk to bout it...if they do talk bout it its always DBZ...gods that so old (no offence)...-.-;;

Well, I'm sure a lot of out-of-towners show up, but I think this is a decent place to be for an anime fan

Very big good luck up here. True anime otakus are maybe 10 in this town, about 50 vets with maybe 500 DBZ n00bs running around. So anime isn't as popular as it looks up here, even though there's an anime club based out of Utica.

Or not. Apparently the site is down and probably the club is no longer exsistant. Though there is one in Ithaca, it's a college group.

But I digress. It's not very big up here.

Miami has a decent following. When I first got into anime, I remember I was shocked to find that a good deal of friends I'd known for some time were longtime otaku folk.

Otakucon is here later this month...can't wait to go. And there's an anime store about ten minutes from my school too. Bwahahaha.

I live in a town of about 25,000 people and i can count around 75 or thereabouts that are openly into anime (clubs and the like) but i have discovered as of late that that number triples at least when you count in people who are, like, secretly into anime...

It's known as Japanimation in my area. It's consists of Pokemon and sometimes DragonballZ (if you're lucky).

That's the popularity of anime in my little neck of the woods.
