aney one see the Cutey Honey live action movie?

one of my friends has it on his comp and wanted to know if i wanted it
i was wonderin if the live action movie has to do with the series or what?
whats even odder is it had the warner brothers logo pop up when it started up

The live-action Cutie Honey is basically a remake of the old series which directed by the infamous Hideaki Anno. I was kinda of afraid of watching a live-action movie that's directed by him since I wanted to preserve my own sanity.

Cutey Honey/Cutie Honey - TV, 1973, one season (?)
Written by Go Nagai, half-hour boobfests in true Go Nagai fashion. It's about an android who fights this evil organization called Panther Claw (I think).

Cutey Honey Flash - TV, 1998ish, 39 episodes and (possibly) a movie
Shoujo-anime version of the original, oddly enough, made to replace Sailor Moon when it ended. Honey is a human girl whose scientist father creates this choker that turns her into a cosplaying fencer, basically, and also gets her naked for at least 10 seconds per episode (some father).

Shin Cutey Honey - OVA, 8 episodes, 1999ish
The first OVA remake. Not very good, but much like the original, a cartoonish boobfest. More episodes were presumably planned but money ran out when fans turned out not to exist. Honey was, if memory serves, an android again. She's naked very frequently, more than the original even.

Re Cutey Honey - OVA, 3 episodes, 2004
The second OVA remake. Way better than the first, it's much more interesting, better art (though still cartoonish), has a more cohesive plot, and vacillates wildly between ridiculous T&A/Flash-style fight scenes/dark conspiracy thriller/shoujo-ai overtoned friendship story. She's naked at least half of the running time of any given episode.

Cutie Honey - movie, 2004
The movie is supposed to run along the same lines as the OVA, but from what my sources (my brother) tell me, the acting is subpar, the costumes are distracting, the plot is negligible, and Honey is not naked nearly enough. You can give it a shot anyway if you like, but try ReCH first, methinks.

My favorite is Flash. I'm a sucker for shoujo.

I've heard the movie is 'very Anno,' although what you'll take from that I don't know. Acting in Japanese movies is *never* good, but I've heard it's good in a pretty campy way.

Then again, I also have the DVD sitting next to me, so I'll post again after I watch it =)

i had him burn me it, but he screwed up when he burned it so it oniely plays on the computor, it's 6:41pm over here so ile probley watch it around 6:30 am tonight muhahahahh, ile post if it's aney good

i myself found the movie funney. it was alright just got dune watchin it.back to azumanga daioh
