A friend of mine wants me to watch Texhnolyze. He's all agog about it. However, being a busy (and somewhat discriminating) anime watcher, I'd like information (and, more importantly, opinions) on the series.
Specifically:
- Story: Is the story rich and compelling? Does it draw you in? Does the story have a cohesiveness, or lack thereof?
- Characters: Noteworthy? or trash-worthy?
- Art: Dark, mysterious, cliche'd, active, New and improved, same-old, what?
- Overall: Is it worth buying? Would you recommend it to a non-anime fan? Why or why not?
Frankly, I don't want to waste time on something that's a monumental failure, Or go into a series expecting the worst, and miss out on something great. Spoilers are unimportant to me; if you need to mention a scene to emphasise a point, I have no objections.
