SAVE EVANGELION!!!!!1

The one question i have is if the script writer has accually watched all of evangelion, including the movies, and understood the majority of it(quite an accomplisment). If the writer did, then they would know they would be unable to fit everything in 90-120 minutes. If the writer was just given an over of it and some sceens of locations, the writer would make something that could only hope of living up to the anime's shadow. There is just too much in the serise to make it into a movie. Everything about the charaters that makes up their personality would have to be dropped out, execpt Shinji and Gendo as that would be absoluty nessicary. "Ausaka" being german is part of her and her childhood makers her act the way she does. in the movie, she is a cocky, selfcentered teenager. in the anime... ok, bad example, but we wouldn't know why she is like that. I doubt they'll even hint at what "Rei" really is. There is no way a single movie to hold a candle to the Anime. There is just too much to go through in a short time.

Naw, u guys, always look at the bright side of life!
If the Japanese were to make the movie we'd probably get something like the "sailor moon live action" series, and I hope I don't have to remind u of how hilarous dat was, the one person dat didn't laugh his/her @$$ off must have ones period or something, because I enjoyed it the way it should be! :'>
If they give us something like that, just laugh! (seriously, I really think this movie could kick some major @$$)

So for u who just wish that the LoTR team would burn in hell after throwing this banana skin in front of u, just waiting for u to slip, drop dead...I'd say; take a sedative, go to the cinema, and have fun! I mean It couldn't be worse dan de harry potter movies...now...could it? ;P

I imagine it would be a series of movies. It would be nearly impossible to fit them all one one movie. They originally wanted to make LotR as just one movie, and then two movies, then New Line was all 'WTF, this is THREE movies'

I believe it's already been stated that the movie would make no attempt to be all-encompassing, but would rather leave open the possibility for a sequel. Makes the most sense anyway.

Just looking at the live action pre-production art, it looks like they will only cover the first couple of angels in a single movie. Further movies and the continuation of the story will depend on the success of the first movie.

aney one ever think it could take place after the eva movies???? could happin, as for me ime seein it the day it comes out.

Obviously you weren't paying attention to End of Evangelion if you think the live-action movie would take place <i>after</i> the events in EoE.

Besides, that would alienate the 98% of the population that's never seen Eva, as they'd have no idea what's going on.

I was always under the impression that nobody had an idea what was going on even after seeing EoE.

i dont know.... the plug suits look ... kind of bad... and changing the names... (yeech), but the first few concept artworks look stunning...

just wait until it actually comes out for my final verdict. ... =/
