"i HATE big o and any other anime with giant robots orwhatever you wanna call them. i also hate kikaider that show's pretty gay."
Well, Big O has giant robots, but it isn't a giant robot anime. I enjoy Big O.
I also enjoy Kikaider, but fail to see how it is either A) homosexuall, or 2) happy. : p
It's dark. And I liked that. Unless you talk about the second part. The first 13 episodes were great, but everything after that was poor.
Onto more important things...
I hate, hm, Hellsing. I know it's *REALLY* popular, but from what I have seen and read, I do not believe I'd enjoy it.
I am not into hentai at all.
Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is interesting, and I wouldn't say I 'hate' it, but I don't really like it much.
Evangelion. Yes, I do not like Evangelion. : )
Reign. What was that even about? Alexander The Thong? The metal thong?
Most popular titles, save Cowboy Bebop.
And This Last Entry: The Nonexistent Anime.

*Ahem* I don't "hate" any anime...I don't see a point in hating something like that. But I must say, of all the anime I've seen, the one that I felt I wasted the most of my time with was Last Exile. Some people adore it, and I'll admit the animation was excellent, but I just couldn't find anything interesting about it. It's the only anime series that I could not finish...I tried, and tried, and tried again, but I could not sit through the whole thing. That was a first for me on anything...I was even able to finish watching Spice World...in the theatre...twice.

There is not much anime out there that I dislike, but there is a lot of anime that just does things that are strange or breaks my suspension of disbelief.
Misato in the first couple episodes of Evangelion was so all over the place emotionally it was scary. She's the director of operations for the first branch of Nerv headquarters and her behavior went beyond cutesy... it did not take long for the character to change into one of my most beloved.
And Nadia The Secret of Blue Water! What the heck was up with those island episodes? All of a sudden it turned into a Warner Brother's cartoon... Ugggghhhh... at least it redeemed itself in the final five episodes.
Remember the days when a major character dying unexpectedly was a refreshing change in anime? It made you watch closely and wonder what might happen next. Now a days, I am suprised if anyone ever survives... working myself into a fit here...
I have to go watch Dragon-half now!!

if anyone noticed the topic it says "Hate Anime and why" it shuld of said which animes you hate and why.
with that in mind there not alot i dislike to the extent i'd maim myself in order to avoid it.
Blood Reign - horrible looking even if its old.
pretty much those franchised kiddie kind that all seem to be the same, except for Digimon, i liked that.
and for the person who sbad mouthed Metropolis, just in my opinion.
1. what do you want in character style? there meant to look like that, its based off the Manga which was created over 50 years old.
2. the characters actually seemed believable.
3. you find robot/human co-existing put in a more realistic way.

I hate all anime (even the ones that I haven't seen) except Evangelion, Inu Yasha, Escaflowne, the second half of Bebop, and a few episodes of miscellaneous Gundams.
2) The religious imagery is netiher random nor nonsensical. It's there to add "flavor," so to speak, and makes a little bit more sense if you know why certain things were done.
1) Most of the characters are a bit one-dimensional, I'll admit, but as long as they're emotionally unstable, who cares? It's just like MTV's "The Real World"generalhs wrote:The only show I can say I strongly dislike (note, not HATE) is Evangelion.
I just don't see what the fuss is about a show with extremely shallow and annoying characters, almost random nonsensical religious imagery and mecha battle sections that distract from the earlier parts of it.

Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.

I hate .Hack//Sign... Terrible ending IMHO and way to much talking and repitition. Nothing was really explained at the end if I remember right, I wasn't paying to much attention at the end, but I tried... All in all, lots of walking and talking and a inconclusive ending.
I never liked Escaphlone either, but I have spoken with so many people who love this show it must just not have been my type. Storyline seemed to move too quickly to set up a real mood to the scenes. I also didnt like the ending because if I remember right,
