Please anyone who knows how to make a good AMV

Post by Heckron » Tue Jan 11, 2005 12:45 pm

I need to get a good audio/video editor so I can make my own AMVs. Any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

You could try looking at the AMV Software List for possibilities.

Vegas5 is easily the best video editor out thier. Just ignore anyone who sujests premier :P

That magix vid editor is also apparently good, if you want something for under $100.

Windows Movie maker is the most popular free solution. But the free editor from www.avid.com is probably more powerfull.

and read this before asking any questions. seriosly.

You can even make a vid with Avisynth and VirtuaDubMod (available elsewhere on this site) however it's a little harder, but moddable to the frame down :P

It's what you prefer...

vagas isn't the best :| find a program you like to use and work with it... the best program is the one that does everything you need it to do.

I think you should try out a few of them if you can and see what you like better. Some people like windows movie maker, some like vegas, some like premier. But I just don't think that you should go off of any one opinion.

Thanks to everyone for the help. Much appreciated! ^_^

Windows Movie Maker is giving me errors when i open it. It was great for the 10 minutes it worked though >_>

and Avid's free player is being pissy with my .avis I try to import them and it says to choose another drive cause my C: is full...so it seems I'm out of space >_< with 3 gb of free space.

*sigh* back to square 1

I don't think I want to pay $500 or even $100 for the software though. Good lord is this stuff expensive or what?!

Thanks again to everyone!
