Anime facts that you might not know!

Post by spike bomb 11 » Thu Jan 13, 2005 7:07 pm

Ok, as always, i'm going to talk about cowboy bebop. You might not of noticed, but on every title, it is music related. Examples: cowboy FUNK, juptior JASS, there all music related. Just watch the special stuff on the movie!
Do you know any intresting facts like this one or even better?

Yu Yu Hakusho's Hiei and Kurama are named after a Japanese moutain and valley. The mountain's called Hiei-zan, in the border between the Kyoto-fu prefecture and the Yamashina-ku prefecture. The valley’s called Kurama-dera, up in the northern part of Kyoto-fu.

Here some sorta secret.
Abenobashi does two monty python (british famous for his comedies) parodies. One of a lumberjack routine, and another for a resturant skit.

(It took me forever to figure that out...)

Some of the Cowboy Bebop titles are Rolling Stones songs. For example Sympathy for the Devil and Wild Horses

Bohemian Rhapsody is a Queen song.

Real Folk Blues is an Album name for Muddy Waters.

Frieza's gang is all named after foods you keep in a freezer.

(Almost positive on this) Evangelion's fictional city takes place on the same spot as Love Hina's fictional city (Tokyo 3 = Hakone, Hinata = Hakone).

yes, he was a hiwaiian king, but he was famous for being the first to unite the islands.

And back on topic, to matticans, they are both in episode 12, if you don't notice them I think they are mentioned in ADV notes (assuming you have the DVDs...) actually there are millions of parodies in Abenobashi including one that's even obsure in Japan (episode 11)
