4Kids gets award

Granted, my first reaction was, "Aaw, f*." I hate 4Kids as much as the next person. I can't think of any true otaku whose immediate reaction to 4Kids is, "Gee, I love 'em, they're the best licensing company EVAR" (well, except maybe in sarcasm). But you must admit that this guy is good at what he does. He markets to kids--and, well, look at the cultural pheonomena he's developed. How many of us grew up playing with Cabbage Patch dolls? How many came to anime as a result of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh?

As much as it pains me to say this, Mr. Kahn: You have my admiration and respect.

Well, with the way he handled the commerical products (especially Ninja Turtles; I'm surprised that's coming back

), yea he definetely deserves it. Now let's see how he handles Mew Mew Power in a commerical level.

have you actually seen the new ninja turtles shows ... they are nothing compared to the origional .. they suck

I think 4Kids is alright since I can still watch One Piece and enjoy unlike Shaman King which they f'ed up on.

Yeah... but fortunately Shaman King was one of the ones they've released uncut. Sure, it's one of the crappiest DVD releases EVAR, but at least we fans have something to fall back on...
