personally, it looked awsome to me at first and a lot of people recomended it to me so I bought it, and when I first started watching it I thought it was a giant rip of eva, which it I still feel it sort of is, however after I think dvd 5 ish I think I started to like it a bit more, and then after watching the series I thought ehh it was pretty good, I guess I got my moneys worth. However, when the movie came out and peiced certain things together that is when I started to like it a whole lot more. However, yo can't nderstand the movie without watching the series first, so I would say look forward to the movie. Sorry, about the spelling errors to mummble"f*cking keyboard!"

I don't feel that way. It just seemed to answer some questions I had when watching the series. But maybe I'll watch it again with that in mind.someperson wrote:Personally, I loved the series. Well worth it (in my opinion).
The movie was okay, but I wasn't sure if it was explaining the series or creating an alternate storyline (I'm leaning more towards alternate storyline).

All right...I finally recieved the series yesterday, and spent some time watching it all. I liked it. I liked it a lot, I'm not sure there's really anything that can go wrong with a well-done series about giant robots and unrequited love. It was all very well done, but one of the things that truly sticks out in my mind was episode 19...that was one of the most heart-wrenching things I have seen animated.

Anyhow, I guess none of you owe me $15.spoilers wrote:
Also, when Haruka finally confesses her love for Ayato...that was a great moment. And the whole of the final episode...and the movie was good as well(it was intended to be a parallel universe, I believe...it even says so in the awesome book that came with the boxed set), partially for the fact that it brought up some good memories and made me think about some things.

I am very happy you enjoyed it. I told you, you wouldn't be dissapointed. I have watched the series many times and it still has not lost its touch. It is still as good as ever.atrophiedXlungs wrote:All right...I finally recieved the series yesterday, and spent some time watching it all. I liked it. Did you keep watching after the credits of the last episode?
It's not exactly a secret, and it may not reveal anything new to you, but it was a forehead slapping moment for me and my me rethink the meaning of several scenes.
Note that they may have changes this for the DVD version, I watched it in original broadcast form.

I did watch that scene...but I missed it the first time I watched RahXephon. I only noticed it was there recently, because I was going through the footage (as I'm making an AMV).
...I felt kinda silly.
