How Do I use/get on the Decomb To deinterlace my footage??!!

Okay so I have the dvd footage did everything right, except that my dvd footage is Interlace. So I downloaded the Amvapp and I am trying to get onto decomb, but the problem is that(i don't know if this is really stupid or not)but everything that says Decomb is in text, nothing is a Real program!Seriously how do i get onto decomb, please help me:(, or I did all that for nothing

AVISynth (for which Decomb is a plugin) is indeed a real program; it just doesn't work like one.
You can't open AVISynth directly. It doesn't come with an .EXE or anything.

What you do is, you type up scripts in Notepad and save them with the .AVS extension.
Then, when you open the script file in whatever application you're using it in (be it Windows Media Player, VirtualDubMod, TMPGEnc, or Adobe Premiere), AVISynth kicks in and fools the application into thinking it's opening a real .AVI file.
It's a frameserver that does all its work behind the scenes.

Decomb is an AviSynth filter. AviSynth files are text files with commands in them. You can modify your ripped video in the script and open it in Premiere, VirtualDub or whatever the application.

I suggest you to carefully go through the steps in the guide.

The trick is to read each page from the start, particularly from the Introduction to the amvapp onwards because skipping information just means you are clueless later.
