The Angel Music Video Awards

Post by Scoob » Thu Jan 27, 2005 10:24 pm

We are holding our first AMV contest and we hope you can join us because everyone is invited.

Rules/Description

Early Submissions start January 29th and end January 30th. This is for those people who just can't wait or are afraid they are going to forget.

Submissions start Feruary 1st and end February 14th!!

There are four categories. They are:
-Drama
-Action
-Romance
-Comedy

Whatever AMV you entry has to somehow fit into one of these categories – whether it’s character profile or a lip-sync based video; as long as it loosely fits into one of those four categories, you’re good. =]

Basic Rules:
AMV must be created by you - not a friend or anyone else
AMV must be at least 2 minutes long and no longer than 6 minutes (not counting credits) - well if it's like a few seconds over 6 minutes it's fine, but please try to keep it under!
One AMV per person
Same AMV cannot be entered in more than one category
Only English songs with words, no instrumental songs!
No Hentai! Try To Keep it PG-13 and under!

We are only accepting 20 AMVs – five per category. That does not mean that only 20 people can enter. If more than five AMVs per category are entered, then all members of the forum (except anyone who submitted an AMV) can vote for the five they want to proceed with the contest. Do not create multiple accounts and cheat to get yourself into the group. We’ll find out. No guests.

After the 20 AMVs are selected, they will go through the various rounds. The judges will judge each round and vote off one AMV from each round. This will be based on circumstances surrounding the different rounds. These are a secret. To win, you need a little luck! =] If you get voted off, you can still participate because then you can vote in the future rounds. Unless you’re a judge, or you got voted off in a previous round, you can’t vote.

At round four, the winner of each category will be left. After that, the judges and the people who got voted off previously will vote one final time and vote off one more AMV. After this, the last three AMVs will compete for third, second, and first as overall best AMV. This final vote will be determined by anyone who is a member of the forum. Once again, that means NO guests.

Prizes:
If you get into the top 20:
A screenshot for your video with all necessary information. This is really for the contest, but you can use it for anything you want.

Winners of categories:
A screenshot link to your vid in the contest winners’ shrine.
Long opinions from all judges.

Overall Best AMV winner:
Obviously all previously listed items.
A banner.
A link to your vid on the site (http://www.ficcynet.0catch.com)
Another thing, but it’s a secret.

You must and enter your video on this site
http://shiroinotenshi.proboards43.com/index.cgi and also register on the site but don't worry there is no fee (cause it's free). Just go to the AMV Contest section and you'll find the subject Enter AMVs but just make sure you enter it under the right category. Please read more of the rules on the site. Here's the link to the rules http://shiroinotenshi.proboards43.com/i ... 1106876406 and also make sure you look at the example on how to enter your video properly. Here's the link http://shiroinotenshi.proboards43.com/i ... 1106879568.

Hope to see you there.

Only English songs with words, no instrumental songs!
may I ask what the reason is for this?
