Want to know the history of AMVs?

First of all, thanks to everyone who read my thesis (or parts of it) and I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's so wonderful to actually have people understand what I'm writing about (unlike my teacher, family, roommates, etc.) and actually wanting to read it! All the comments have been really helpful and I'll hopefully be able to do a better job on the next go round. Sorry about all the errors throughout this thing!
In response to a few specific things:
Yeah, I caught the FoxJones/Jasper mix-up before (as in, the hour before) I turned it in, but apparently posted an earlier version of my thesis (off my hard drive instead of my flash disc, where the newer version is). I've also found some other marginal errors and will be posting the real final version soon.
I do plan to do a lot more primary research into Kevin Caldwell, but that section was thrown in at the last minute and the very last section I wrote and I kinda ran out of time (a lot of this was written in the span of about 2 weeks, during finals.....I procrastinate way too much). I'll definitely do my own leg work for the next incarnation though (the dreaded honors thesis ).
I could have sworn that KC said at the "Anime Ins and Outs" panel at AWA that he only planned to do MADs (Japanese AMVs) in the future. ::Reads over part in paper again:: Okay, I botched up the wording I wanted to use with that info. Anyway, I know KC was there, but could someone else who was there maybe confirm that particular quote?
I didn't stumble onto You Know Who until right before it was all due and to tell the truth, I really couldn't find much on him. All I know is that he made videos in the early 90s, was pretty well known, and apparently snuck into some Texas Christian TV studio afterhours to edit. The site where I found the most info on him has apparently crashed. But anyone who knows about him, I'd love to learn more!
Thanks for everyone who gave suggestions on how to expand the paper! I'm definitely going to look into these subjects for next time.
If anyone is quoted, but I don't have your real name, feel free to send it to me! Tracking down everyone's real name is on my list of things to do, but time simply ran out for this version. I'll also take you (or a specific quote) out if you want me to. (Zarxrax's final quote - Outta there.)
Thanks again for all the comments and support! I'm no expert, but do really love learning and writing about this stuff!

I found your paper to be quite insightful and explained alot of AMV stuff I did not know. This in mind, off to finish mine.
I'm still a little suprised that I got refrenced to in a college paper.

Crap.
I had written down that Caldwell was at that panel. I think it was actually VicBond007 that I had mixed up as him. Didn't someone introduce him as KC maybe? I think it was at the beginning and I was just trying to scribble down everyone's names and got confused. Whoops.
Anyway, I'll fix this in the next version. Thanks for everyone helping me out with this.

Scroll down for a picture of him. He looks quite a bit older there than he usually did at that point. There are other photos around, with what seem to be more accurate impressions of him at the time, but I forgot where they are or how to find them. I am inclined to say one is attached to a post, not necessarily one of his posts but rather a friend's (or enemies'!), on the yahoo.com amv mailing list -- you will have to do some archealogical excavation to find it. However, since he is older now, I guess this photograph's fault is actually to your advantage in identifying him at contemporary conventions.
