Exporting as .wmv from Final Cut Pro?

Post by Big Big Truck » Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:52 am

Sup everybody -
I have a short MPEG2 file that I need to convert to .wmv - I'm running OSX (10.3) on a G5 and have Final Cut Pro. I've searched the FCP help and it doesn't even mention .wmv format at all :x

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure you have a good (probably work-related) reason for wanting to encode to wmv, so I'll leave it at that.

As for mac wmv creation tools, the only one I know of is http://www.flip4mac.com and that's commercial.

To be honest, the easiest thing to do would be to pass the mpeg2 to me and get me to encode it to wmv for you :)

Yeah, it's for work - I haven't done any AMV goo since Car Bomb.

A fellow goon suggested I try Discreet Cleaner 6; I'll report back here as to how that works out...
