Hmm, nothing really life-changing, but the first episode of Serial Experiments Lain changed my ideas about speech being the most important part in any media for carrying a story along.

Oh, and Patlabor, Video Girl Ai and Dominion Tank Police all helped to shape my vision of the perfect woman (To me an aggressive and independant nature is a good thing. Unfortunately the only girl to really fit that bill turned me down, but she makes a great friend so it isn't all bad ^_^)

Well, personally if anime changed your life in an actual way, then there may be something wrong with you, or maybe not. Anime is the ONLY thing that keeps me sane, if thats what you mean.

Ghost in the Shell did a lot for me.

Oh, wait, I was a total CS-type geek before than, nevermind.

Ghost in the Shell just caused me to read Gibson.

I'm almost positive Super Milk-Chan is so intelligent, most people don't get it at all. Or maybe I'm just reading way too much into it. I'm pretty sure a lot of the humor is avant-garde, incredibly dry ironic stuff...like I said, to the point that most people don't understand it.

Anyhow...hmmm. I guess in some way, every anime I watch and enjoy changes my life. Because I think for the most part, my personality is just a continually-evolving organism based upon my past experiences.
It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.

Actually, Super Milk-chan is a pretty dumb show. It's not misuderstood or anything. It's just plain moronic. That doesn't mean it's funny, but it's still a pathetic show. Here's a genius and misuderstood anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

And a very good one, at that. :)

The anime that changed me was Grave of the Fireflies. I really didn't think anime could ever achieve the depths that this movie did.

It's one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies, and one of the best movies ever -- but, it gets so sad and depressing that you find you can't sit and watch it over and over.

It's genious, that's true and i will say that over and over until me teeth turn white. but i don't think it's misunderstood. it's been around and popular long enough to be interpreted in every single goddamn way possible. most of us have gotten the message by now. i think Magical Shopping Arcade Abenoshi or FLCL would be more misunderstood, since it's not been around as long or has been exposed to self-appointed gurus that analyze it to shit, like Eva.

Ya i have to have a tissue box next to me every time i watch it. Oh, and i decided to show it to my mom last year, good lord i bet she could of filled a pool with all the tears comming out of her eyes.

For animes that changed my life. That is hard for me to say. I know Eva is the one anime that made me really become a hard core anime fan. But there are so many animes that have affected my life in general. I will have to think about it some more and get back to you with a real answer.
