Re: Who doesn't like FLCL?
Hey, look at Cowboy Becrap! With it's repetitive and no story episodes, I would have to say that's way worse, especially since there are more episodes.blueshogun96 wrote:My my, it's been a o time since I've been here (forgot all about this forum ) I was just wondering if there is anyone that doesn't like FLCL? I don't hate it, but IMO it is nothing special.

You have to be willing to think a bit to enjoy FLCL on any of it's levels. To enjoy all of it's many layers requires quite a bit of the aforementioned thought. Thus, it's not for everyone. Most people don't want to think about a show and rewatch it several times in order to enjoy it. But maximum enjoyment of FLCL comes from doing just that, you have to peel away it's layers to get at the heart of the show.
By the way, FLCL is... I don't know if I'd say it's my favorite anime anymore, but it's in the top 3 for sure.

One of the reasons for the replay value is you have to watch it more that once to understand or even catch all of the humor.Otohiko wrote:NOBODY DOESN'T LIKE FLCL!!

I'd place it around my #3. Artistically, it's pretty satisfying. And it still has the highest replay value of anime anime I've seen.
On the other hand, this is by no means an anime for everyone, so I most welcome views that hold it lower than I do - as long as it's in a reasonable fashion.

FLCL
My anime fanatic friend was reading FLCL in class the other day when this twerpy, (oops, I mean, "cool") guy in front of us grabbed it from her and read parts of it out to the class. Personally, I think it sounds kind of creepy!
