ADV doesn't have a choice in the matter. Part of the deal to bring GANTZ over was that ADV stick to the same number of episodes per disc and the Japanese release, to stem reverse importation. A lot of anime companies are getting bitchy about the Japanese otaku buying their anime from America where even after import taxes it comes out much cheaper than Japanese DVDs of a series. Pray that the Japanese start putting more episodes on each disc rather than forcing all the American companies to conform to their dumb ideas of profit protection.

I've enjoyed the manga so far. But there are quite a few Kishimoto fanservice parts and they get annoying after a while. I shall end it here before I go off and start ranting and raving.
Regaurding the 2 episodes per disc, if you think about it (and if you buy your anime at Best Buy) it's not that bad of deal.
ADV prices: $11.99 = 2 episodes
$19.99 = 3 or 4 episodes (5 if you're lucky)
Geneon prices: $24.99 = 3 or 4 episodes (5 if you're really lucky)
Do the math. There really isn't much of a change.
So based on Best Buy prices, Gantz prices aren't as bad as people are making them seem (unless you buy from Suncoast or some other retailer). Just different. Not to mention volumes are being released monthly rather than bimonthly. So it evens out.

That's pretty lame. Although doesn't this do nothing, if Gantz's price is is only about $12? It doesn't solve the problem one bit.badmartialarts wrote:ADV doesn't have a choice in the matter.
