If it's not wrong of me asking, may I ask what programs could do this for you? Thnx ^_^Kalium wrote:DRM which has, shall we say, been broken six ways to Saturday, as it were. There are even some nice GUI programs for removing the protection without degrading quality at all.LantisEscudo wrote:iTunes downloads are, IIRC, 128 kbps AAC in a MP4 container with Fairplay DRM. The files have a .m4p extension.

some music sources, try http://imp3download.com/index.asp?revid=rapidburn
http://www.freemusic4downloads.com/?src ... C=standard
http://www.napster.com/
I believe Real Networks has a music sevice also. Try typing music downloads into google, you get plenty of hits.

I'd say the best way would be to buy the CD5"'s or the 12" vinyl singles. Musicstack.com is an internet resource/shop where you can buy many new and used cd's and records. Well know DJ's will have literally hundreds of copies of thier best work available. Then you can record into any format you want.x_rex30 wrote:I don't just want hard to find stuff, some of the top well known DJs I can't even find on Itunes. isn't there a good downloadable music alternate than itunes.. i guess im just going to have to look some more.
If any of you have any suggestions of any, please suggest some, I'll be very grateful.

you might want to check out this website:
allofmp3.com
register, its not FREE but its relatively cheap.. extremely cheap for 192kbps
and you are able to get even higher quality..
the higher quaility the higher price
i think its, .02 cents per MB for no more than 192kbps, after that, add .01 cent for each additonal quiality, you also get to choose the encode of it, ogg, avi, etc.
sorry if "advertising" wasnt allow.

Not only is mp3 not "uncompressed" as the initial poster requested, but there's some question as to whether this site is even legal.Noverca1is wrote:you might want to check out this website:

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

well, read the FAQ in that site, it is "legal" in certain areas of where your from.
Maybe not for "United States" but in Germany, they are 100% safe.
So, read carefully, if paranoid, when you sign up, put all info as if your from Germany.
but they speak of all legal issues, so b4 you sign up, just read it.
If you wish not to use it, you can HOWEVER, still "USE IT"
without downloading any music, you have ALL those music in the catalog to listen to, FREE!
the program has a built in player which will play back any music you want in there. therefor, you might not be able to download, burn n keep the music, but you have the music to listen to in your computer for good! now thats not pirating!

Not just uncompressed, just close to it and/or decent quality. I'm not that impressed with Itunes quality, selection, and copy write protection, so just looking for any other suggestions. Still if someone has a site they would like to recommend for sampling music and/or buying songs/CDs, I will appreciate that a lot...
