I really enjoyed two of the shorts..."Detective Story," and "Beyond."

"Beyond" I really liked the surrealistic aspects of the animation, and the entire storyline, though short, was nifty.

"Detective Story" I enjoyed because I generally love anything that's got a film-noir look / feel to it that is well done, and "Detective Story" was definitely well-done.

The rest were somewhere in-between good and mediocre...most of them leaning towards mediocre. Oh yeah, and the Samurai one was also quite excellent, I thought.
It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.

I find it funny that I enjoyed The Animatrix more than Reloaded and Revolutions combined. Other than the rather tedious episode 'World Record', I found The Animatrix to be dynamic and vibrant, full of interesting stories and images. My favorite episodes are The Second Renaissance, parts 1 and 2. In my opinion, those backstory episodes alone make The Animatrix worth owning.

My favorite Animatrix AMV is Kill Winter Radio by Tash. ( http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=30484 ) Unfortunately, it looks like it's no longer available for download.
Time makes all things possible. I can wait.
