Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

AR2 on local now... with some changes :)

Post by Bakadeshi [AuN Studios] » Sun Feb 27, 2005 12:48 pm

Ok I was hesitant to start a new thread for this, but a few people wanted the local one, And I also made some changes, and I didn't feel like dragging the old thread back up here after it already got burried.
Plus I get an excuse to show off my new poster for it now

For the heck of it I revamped the old poster from the trailer to reflect the new name and stuff:

Changes to ver 1.1:

Totally revamped the rain segment, Used more layers and added ripples, and fog/mist, and each rain drop actually falls instead of it just being random. Much more realistic now, thanks to rubyeye for encouraging me to do so in his Op ;p This was the most signinficant change.

Fixed 2 minor typos and some slight bugs with the masking and some fades. You probably won't even notice them, I'm just a perfectionist ;p

Both local and Direct link versions are version 1.1, I'll keep the Direct link one up for a short while then remove it. They're both Identical.

I liked the first poster, but this is also good. I never caught any typos the first time but I wasn't exactly reading everything for spelling mistakes - so I'll just take your word that everything is perfect. . . Now let's have a look at ver 1.1

Oh this is just an alternate, not a replacement.. you know, like how sometimes they have multiple different posters for the same movie for the theaters. I think I like the first poster better aswell, I just like this particular shot of Reki

You should save those "posters", they're really cool. I'm beginning to think we should all start making AMV (movie) posters now. It would be neat advertising, though I know most people wouldn't have good graphic design skills - but it would still be interesting.

Oh, and the rain effect was a real improvement! Good job.
