I have about 6 or so of these indicators, but used to have more. This was in the initial obsession/euphoria period before anime/manga/j-games became just something that I did.
I'd take exception to the use of "addiction" and the exhortation to be proud, though I know you meant well. Coming from somebody with an acknowledged addictive personality, addictions aren't something you really want to pick up -- though anime is among the more harmless, with its effect being much more financial than physiomental.
Even so, you don't want to spend all your time obsessing over anime stuffs. If you do, what do you do to make rent, and how do you interact with the people who paid out for the other 99% of the North American video market (as much as anime has grown, it's still fairly niche; these are 2004 figures)?
Fullbore anime obsession is a straight-line road with one destination: a basement lair and no life outside of fandom. Everyone else, though, is able to get over it and do it as a hobby while still having other interests.
And stuff was missed on the original list....there are a bunch of "otaku purity tests" floating around the internet that may provide guidance.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

16, I think the count came to. I'm not as big on the Final Fantasy as I used to be, but I did play most of them. Most of my money goes to anime, I have 3 stacks of manga, several DVD shelves of anime, tend to loop anime movies on my TV on weekdays and on weekends I have a series on usually. Sometimes listen to Jpop, sometimes look up lyrics, memorized some quotes, download from the net (on dial up, so that one could count doubly for me), understand what the characters say, I think in anime, I've always done those situations with everything, but still, I have OD'd once or twice on subs and had english and japanese stream together in my mind, I've made several AMVs, and, finally, I've gotten more than a friend or two into anime.

I fit into four of those categories, however I fit into two of those categories to a much lesser degree.
-When you have memorized all or some quotes in anime
I only know one quote from anime, "See You Space Cowboy." That's it.
-When you put anime as a background of you cell phone, if you can.
I have a Cowboy Bebop background on my cell phone, but right now it's set to the AC/DC logo.
-When you are able to make other people watch anime and like it
I've only made one person like anime.
-When you download anime from the internet.
I do this occasionally, but I don't have any series that I religiously download.
So there you have it.
