Basic rules

You can enter 2 videos but only can advance to the round 1 (judges will pick the best one from the 2)
Everyone is guaranteed to make it to round 1 but only on 1 video
Same AMV cannot be entered in more than one category
Both videos cannot be entered in the same category and can only be entered in one category per video
Length: has to be between 1 1/2 minutes to 6 minutes long without bumpers
Anime: any anime is accepted just No hentai(will be disqualified for entering it) if you have some nudity try to keep it PG-13 and under since many people can access this forum.
Instrumentals are accepted but if you enter videos with songs that have lyrics it has to be in English.
Instrumentals can only be entered in the instrumental category.
Trailers are accepted too but for Comedy/Fun with no sexual comments and/or cursing. A little can be accepted but try to keep it under PG-13. (Judges will decided if it's fine)

There will be six rounds. Every round will have a certain condition for eleminating amvs. It all depends on your luck and how good your video is.

Crowd's favorite can only be determined by Members of the forum NOT guests.

Winner will be declared as

Best Overall
Best Action
Best Drama
Best Romance
Best Comedy/Fun
Best Instrumental
Judge's Favorite
Crowd's Favorite

There will be six rounds and the judges will pick which ones move on to the next round.
Everyone is guaranteed to make it to round 1.(This is to make it only one amv per person.)
Only 20 videos will make it to round 2. (That's 4 amvs in each category.)

????? Is this a different contest to the current one you are running the pre-eliminations for.

Everybody, join up! This is a great contest and you can enter TWO videos, that's right, two videos as long as they aren't in the same category. Two vids means twice the chances of winning, sound good doesn't it.

The judges are going to be holding a contest between each other. Since we are going to decide who gets to win in most of the categories we decided to let the people chose a winner in a mini-contest. The competitors are the judges. We figured since we are going to be ranking videos we should at least let the people who joined the contest rank our videos.

The contestants are: jade_eyed_angel, jaddziadax, Kristyrat, and ScoobINSMDBZ.

Anyone who enters the amv contest can vote. The voting will be opened for the full four weeks you are allowed to enter your videos. Once the day after the deadline for the entries arrives, we will announce the winner from the mini-contest.

This is to help people wait until the deadline comes.
