• Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
 • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
 • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
 • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I'll post exactly what I posted in your journal:

4 words: Oh ... My ... fucking ... God! Seriously, this project way way superceded anything I imagined it would be! There are some really awesome effects (I usually think effects are overrated, but some of the effects in this video truly rock). The editing style (and the entire video) make me kind of obsolete though :P

The funny thing is I could pick out which editors did what as far as execution goes. I won't say who did a better job than who (since it's a colaboration after all) but I will say that the people whom I though would do an awesome job actually did an awesome job! The only negative thing I could think of was that the song slumps half way through the video and the editing follows seems to follow suit, other that an amazing video!

If there's ever a movie project you can sign me up for movie 2 (which I own) :P

I totally respect your opinion, 100%, so don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting you on that...but I'm just not feeling the word "misrepresent". I think one of the funnest things about AMVs is the fact that you can present a series in ANY way you want! You might not necessarily like it personally, but that doesn't mean the series has been misrepresented - it's just being presented in a different way.

Personally, I think both natural and effect syncing is pretty damned cool. ^_^
I agree. I like effects, and everything, just check out my top 100 list and you'll see, and maybe I shouldn't have used the word misrepresented. I just think the effects didn't add too much to the over all quality of video, but I sure enjoyed most of the effects with tracks 15+. It sure worked out great with the buu portion of the video! Also I find it did do a good job representing the randomness of DBZ. LOL =P

Well, I finally watched it. As a non-DBZ fan I don't think I was able to appriciate the story arcs (or, well, understand any of it, or know who any of the characters were, etc). Some of the editing felt repetitive, as if a few of the editors chose to adapt similar styles.

However, as an AMV, an MEP, and particularly as a DBZ video, I think it stands out. dbz_doomrider, as one MEP coordinator to another I congratulate you on finally getting this released and doing such a great job on it. Much accolades to all of the editors as well, you guys did some great work.

I liked this video, I liked this video a lot. But as a big DBZ fan I may be a little biased. I do think its interesting how well almost three hundred episodes can be summed up in nine minutes. Once again great job to you all.

I agree. That must of made it a lot harder since you compiled the whole series of around 300 episodes. It would probably take a lot of planning and hard work to do just that, and in that aspect you all did a great job. Must of been a lot of effort and hard work to pull this off. 10 for effort! -_^
