I am starting an Anime club at school soon and needs help.

Well yeah, like the title says...what can i do to get an anime club started at my high school...and also...what activities can the club do rather than watch anime and read manga...thats what im trying to think up for the club...so if you have any ideas or suggestions for the club at school...that would be greatly appreaciated. ^_^

You could get groups to work on cosplay outfits, or plan group trips to conventions. Maybe even mix the two and go to a convention all as characters from the same anime!

hmm...sounds intresting...since i do go to a school for the arts...theres probably people willing to cosplay ^_^.

Also a good manga club creates his own doujinshi!

MITAC, one of the more successful university anime clubs in the US, has a page on starting your own club. There's several suggestions about activities, and a bunch of information about the administrative stuff if you want to keep your club going after you've left.

It should be noted that MITAC is a library-centric club, which is less necessary now that you can buy anime in normal stores, and there are other successful models that you may want to look at besides this one.
