Adult Swim to Become a Network! [not really, read carefully]
As of March 28th, Turner Broadcasting will formally split The Cartoon Network's Adult Swim program into a separate cable television network for ratings reporting purposes. As a separate entity, Adult Swim will be a formidable network, with #1 ratings in its time period on basic cable among adults age 18-34, and an average of 11 of the top 50 ad-supported cable programs among adults age 18-34. However, apparently Adult Swim's content and broadcast schedule will not change from its present condition.
well there you have it, theres not much from me except i hope this works.

The original press release is misleading. Adult Swim is going to continue to be broadcast in its current timeslot, on its current channels. However, it is going to be treated as a separate network for ratings purposes. As the OP stated, this will allow Turner to demand monstrous advertiser dollars for Adult Swim programming, which has suddenly become the #1 channel in terms of total ratings success on basic cable.
This is a pure financial shell-game move and will have no effect on content....except on the contents of Ted Turner's bank account.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

Thank you for typing that out, I didn't want to have to explain it to them. It'd almost be like explaining to someone that Santa Claus isn't real (which is a total lie by the way, he's very, VERY real).Kai Stromler wrote:The original press release is misleading. It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.
