We watched the first episode of the show in our anime club last semester. It was just the right amount of wacky, and I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I'll be waiting for the FUNimation release to continue watching the series. Any series is that much better when Steve Simmons is doing the subtitle translations :D.

Eh, that's not quite fair. The dub of "Blue Gender" is pretty darn close to the original script, "Yu Yu Hakusho" is well done, and from what I hear, the dub of "Lupin" is even getting some praise.

People seem to forget that FUNimation is much more than a DBZ company, these days :D.

Although... I do remember the good ol' days when it was cool to constantly bash them for sitting on censored DBZ and doing nothing else... hehe. Hell, I'm still guilty of doing it every so often.

But they're getting better as time goes on. Gotta start somewhere.

Oh but the manga is very different! The cut a huge amount when they made the conversion to anime. The manga is ongoing so the ending (I won't spoil it) is completely made up and has no relation to where the manga is going. The completely removed an important storyline about an incident in Tooru's childhood with a boy and a red cap. (Which makes episodes 15 and 16 make a lot more sense, its the reason that Yuki and Kyou get all silent and weird) They also removed Shigure's creepy evil side and some of his darker actions.

They never introduced the last two Junninshi, the horse and the rooster. One of which is Hatsuharu's ex GIRLfriend. They also cut out Uo-chan and Hana-chan's backstories, the way they became each became friends with Tooru. (Hana-chan's is so sad!) They also cut out some really funny parts like when they all go to a haunted house and the introduction of Yuki's future co-council members.

Okay...have we established that I'm a big fan of the series yet? LOL. I've seen all of the anime and I defintely recommend it. The ending is pretty good for one that they pretty much had to make up. (The merged a manga storyline with something they made up.) I'm looking forward to FUNimations release of the series. I have the first disk of Blue Gender and was really happy with the way it was handled. There were nice extras, accurate subs and the dub wasn't bad either. I especially liked the non-credit opening if you switch angles.

The first disk is going to be out this October of this year so the wait won't be too long now. There are going to be four discs, the first will have have 6 episodes then I've heard conflicting stories about how many per disk after that. From what I hear, the first disk comes with an artbox too. ^_^

I can't wait!

Series that are better watched dubbed=

1. Slayers----Megumi can't even approach Lisa as Lina

2.Captain tylor

3.Gatekeepers

4.Tenchi

5.Oh my goddess-----Too bad they didn't use the same dub actors in the movie

6.Ranma----Not that subtitled ranma is bad. I have just been watching it dubbed for so long it hurts listen to Ranma sound like Inu yasha

7.Those who hunt elves

8.Nadesico

Kare kano--Great dub makes the series much more interesting too watch.

Kenshin---In the Sub his voice is played by a girl! that sounds like a girl.

Series never to watch dubbed

1. Inu Yasha-hehe I dont really know about this one is viz going to use the ranma Voice actor cast.

2.Yuyu hakuisha

3.Those obnoxious aliens- This dub makes me literally puke

4.Vandread

5.Love Hina-This is the worst dub ever
Purity is wackable!
